I Ish A Homosexual.

You can have all the opinions you want in the world, however that doesn’t for a second mean that your opinions mean anything to anyone. You can speak your opinion, for our country allows us a freedom of speech. But just because you are free to say something, doesn’t mean that it is right for it to be said. Some things, however free they are, should just be kept to oneself. Hateful opinions do nothing for the world if they are shared or outspoken. All the hate in the world, is why we have war, why we have segregation, and why we can’t obtain peace. When you walk down the street you see whites, you see blacks, you see Hispanics, Asians, you see people. You see boys, you see girls, you see those who are trans-gendered , or even hermaphroditic, you see people. When you see these people, you don’t always notice that they are who they are. Yet, when you see people like me, you always seem to pick us out of the crowd. You make it known to everyone else just who we are, and just what we are. You say the simplest words, yet those simple words are most of the time the cruelest. When you see people who are like me… like us… different… what gives you the mindset that you should have to judge them. It’s not like they’re judging you for being straight, so why should you have to judge them for being gay. Just because to the “standards” of our nation, being homosexual isn’t in the “norm” doesn’t mean that we’re some deformed freaks of nature. Just because we are labeled as “second-class citizens” does not make it so. It just means that we feel different things than others around us. Just because we feel love towards the same gender does not in any way shape or form, give you the right to hate us. When you see a musician, do you hate them almost immediately? I’m pretty sure the answer to that question is no. Musicians see the world differently than most people, as do almost all artists. They see the world in a much more colorful way, a way that is more peaceful, and understanding. They understand what is around them, whether it be the sounds, the colors, or the emotions. When people breathe, they all breathe differently; that doesn’t mean that someone is breathing wrong, while someone else is breathing right. When people write something, no one piece of work is better than the other, for it can not be compared on such a scale. When an artist’s brush touches that canvas, their fingers paint the picture that their heart sees. I guess no two people will ever be able to paint the same picture then. I mean if we can’t even seem to see eye to eye, how are we ever going to be expected to see heart to heart. Just because the way we feel towards people is different than what you feel, does not mean that we should be punished. We love just like any one else loves, and we hurt just like any one may hurt. We feel just as anyone else may feel, and we cry just like any one else who suffers. You can act like your on top of the world, but if you find the need to judge those around you, then you can not truly be happy. If you can not come to accept such small facts of life, then your life is far from complete or perfect. I have come to accept that fact, and I have accepted the inevitable. I am a homosexual male living amongst you. I have accepted this, I am proud of this, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
